Why I decided to go Vegan

Yes, I'm going vegan. I made the decision to start following a vegan diet ever so recently but it’s not a spur of the moment decision, I’m not doing it because it’s trendy, I’m simply doing it for me but also for me to learn and try to apply to my father. My dad has been doing dialysis for his kidney failure since about 2014. On top of that he’s diabetic as well. I’m very much so concerned for his health. With him being homeless, I know his options are limited but I want to try to find a happy middle for him. Going vegan is bigger than me to sum it up. Especially with me starting my health coaching career, I feel I need to explore ALL of the options of healthy diets. I was already living a pescatarian/mediterranean diet life seeing as I instinctively wasn’t eating too much beef or pork already. Chicken, for the most part, was the main meat I used to eat. Otherwise I’d fancy myself some seafood whenever I could. I remember there was a point in time when I would wake up every morning and cook myself a salmon fillet for breakfast or lunch for sure. Oddly enough, I hadn’t realized I was basically eating as a pescatarian would until I became friends with a girl who was consciously choosing that lifestyle. After speaking with her and realizing that what she was explaining about pescatarianism, was lining up with my pallet, that’s when I realized that I was basically pescatarian without even knowing it. It was wild but I said all that to say that I’m confident my transition to eating vegan will be smooth and easy. I’m excited about introducing veganism into my lifestyle and I can’t wait to see what it brings me. Please feel free to follow along as I transition into this new diet life https://youtu.be/U_Rtmj7xjWg
